Our favorite yogurt around is YoBaby! Graham has been living off of this stuff since he could eat it (about six months old). He is now three and still picks out the YoBaby yogurt in the grocery store. I think this says a lot about a product when there are other yogurt brands who have very popular licensed characters on their packages and Graham passes them up.
Why YoBaby?
YoBaby yogurt from Stoneyfield is completely organic. This is one of the reasons I first decided to go with YoBaby when it was time to introduce yogurt to Graham. I know how important it is to avoid certain foods if they are not organic, and milk is very high on my radar for purchasing organic. If you think about it, our kids will be consuming a ton of dairy products during the first few years. I believe that It is important to provide them with options that do not involve hormones and extra chemicals.
Another reason why I chose YoBaby yogurt is because the original version uses 100% whole milk. Pediatricians will tell you that the whole milk is vital to your baby's brain development. If you have a baby who is having a hard time transitioning from breast milk or formula to whole milk, this is a great option! They even have a drinkable YoBaby that works in sippy cups. When YoBaby Meals came out, we relied upon them during the phases when Graham would not eat his vegetables. The YoBaby Meals provide a blend of veggies, fruit, and yogurt that Graham will still eat at the age of three!
What's changed about YoBaby?
YoBaby yogurts used to come in a six-pack that provided two different flavor options (three of each flavor). Stoneyfield has decided to give parents more of an option when it comes to what varieties to choose. Now you will find banana, vanilla, peach, blueberry, and simply plain in four-packs.
You may first be thinking that they are just downsizing. The truth is, the price per cup remains the same! This may even help you save money if your baby only needs a few. When Graham was very small we would sometimes not use up all six before they went bad. So, you can mix and match flavors or just stick with one and save a little money.
